



University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNUHCM - University of Social Sciences and Humanities) is a member of the Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City system. The University was established in 1957, with its predecessors being the Faculty of Letters (under Saigon University) and the University of Ho Chi Minh City. The University is the largest center for research and education in the field of social sciences and humanities in the South.
The University offers 45 undergraduate majors, 33 master's degree programs, and 18 doctoral degree programs in 10 fields: Education and Teacher Training, Arts, Humanities, Social and Behavioral Sciences, Journalism and Information, Business and Management, Architecture and Construction, Social Services, Tourism, Hospitality, Sports and Personal Services, Environment and Environmental Protection.

With a long history, tradition, and prestige in the Vietnamese higher education system, the University always brings together a team of excellent lecturers, researchers, managers, and staff to participate in teaching, research, and work. Over more than 60 years of development, the University has trained many excellent teachers, scientists, politicians, managers, artists, and entrepreneurs for society. Our alumni are working in many countries and territories across various professional fields.

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNUHCM has partnerships with over 250 universities and research institutes worldwide. International cooperation activities are carried out in various forms: (1) Student and faculty exchange through short-term and long-term programs; (2) Study abroad programs; (3) Joint training programs and mutual credit recognition at undergraduate and postgraduate levels; (4) Joint research projects; and (5) Organizing international scientific conferences/seminars and joint publication of scientific works on contemporary issues.
Currently, the University is collaborating in research and training with many localities and partners both domestically and internationally to conduct research, consult on policy, and develop human resources in localities, especially in the Southern provinces and cities. The University maintains good cooperative relationships with many organizations and businesses in recruiting, providing scholarships, and supporting internships for students.
Our students come from 95 countries and territories, with diverse religions and ethnic backgrounds, bringing multicultural, international, and distinct characteristics to the university space. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities focuses on creating an environment for learners to explore, practice, and affirm themselves through student activities, youth union activities, clubs, community engagement activities, and corporate linkages.
Quality assurance work at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is always prioritized, fulfilling the University's commitment to society regarding the quality of education. The University was accredited according to the Ministry of Education and Training's standards in 2022 (cycle II).
Currently, the University has two campuses:
- Saigon Campus: includes the Party Committee office, University Council, Board of Presidents, offices/departments, faculties, centers, etc., providing postgraduate training, programs for international students, international joint programs, and international standard programs.
