Anti-invasion

CHIA SẺ:

The book Anti-invasion, with over 900 pages and 27 chapters, is presented by Professor Tran Van Giau, detailing the historical progression over 40 years from 1858 to 1898, when the French fired shots to invade Vietnam at Son Tra peninsula (Da Nang) until the Can Vuong movement subsided and the French government began implementing policies of colonial exploitation.

During the compilation process, the author utilized Marxist-Leninist dialectical thought regarding historiography. Although written in the form of annals with an objective and detached tone when discussing the rise and fall of the Nguyen dynasty and the uprisings of the people as well as patriotic scholars at the end of the 19th century, it is not dry because Tran Van Giau expresses his own viewpoints throughout the pages with clear love and hatred, interweaving vivid historical details with the author's assessments, even if very brief, sometimes only a sentence.

We would like to respectfully introduce it to readers!
