Markets are places for regular economic and socio-cultural exchange between localities to meet the living needs of the people, while contributing to strengthening the community ties of residents in many localities in the region within Vietnamese society for hundreds of years, and are the subject of research by many scholars both domestically and internationally. The content of the book is presented in 2 parts: 1) Introduction and translation of 66 stele inscriptions containing content about traditional markets in Vietnam; 2) Appendix of stele rubbings; the translated and introduced stele inscriptions are ordered from 1 to 66, and the images in the appendix are numbered correspondingly to the translation section. This ordering is basically chronological, with earlier dated steles placed first and later ones placed after. Each translated stele inscription has 2 parts: The Han Chinese transcription from the original and the translation. To serve the needs of exploiting Han-Nom stele materials recording traditional markets in Vietnam We would like to respectfully introduce this to readers! |
