History and Reputation: The Department of Psychology was established on April 18, 2007, and officially upgraded to the Faculty of Psychology on March 27, 2014. The Faculty boasts a well-structured training program, leading student intake quality, and experience in training students from Bachelor's to Master's levels. The Faculty is recognized as meeting international standards through FIBAA accreditation for its Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology programs.

Legal Basis & Education Standards: The program applies the credit-based training model according to international standards and strictly adheres to Decision No. 288/QD-XHNV-QLDT of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU-HCM.

MAJORS | SPECIALIZATIONS
Students have the flexibility to accumulate 21 elective credits from specialized courses within two major career-oriented fields:
Clinical Psychology specialization: Focuses deeply on assessing, intervening in, and supporting mental health in the context of modern society. Typical courses include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychoanalytic Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Art Therapy, Social-Emotional Education, Assessment and Intervention for Specific Learning Disorders, and Child Psychological Intervention and Therapy.
Organizational Psychology (I/O Psychology) specialization: Applying behavioral science to human resource management, organizational development, performance enhancement, and mental health care for employees in multinational corporations and businesses. Typical course modules include: Organizational and Indusrial Psychology, Organizational Learning and Development, Leadership and Management Psychology, Recruitment and Talent Development, Organizational Behavior, Group Dynamics, Performance Management, and People Analytics.
GLOBAL CAREER DEVELOPMENT
Graduates of the International Standard program possess superior competitiveness thanks to their multicultural thinking and proficiency in specialized English.
Psychological Intervention: Assistant counselor/therapist at hospitals, medical centers, and international non-governmental organizations (NGOs); school mental health support specialist; evidence-based mental health care specialist.
Business/Organization: High-level professional positions at multinational corporations and large businesses: Recruitment and talent development specialist; Organizational culture specialist; Consumer behavior and media analyst; Mental health-promoting workplace environment designer; Organizational restructuring consultant.
Research/Education: Research assistant at international interdisciplinary research institutes and centers; Teaching assistant or lecturer at international educational institutions or English-language training programs. They have a solid foundation to receive scholarships and continue their studies for master's and doctoral degrees abroad.
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS & MANDATORY OUTCOME STANDARDS
To ensure that graduates meet international quality standards upon graduation, students must fulfill the following conditions: (i) Accumulate a minimum of 130 credits according to the program framework; (ii) Complete all required courses: Orientation (2 credits), Physical Education (5 credits), National Defense and Security Education (7 credits); (iii) Achieve the second foreign language (English or other languages as prescribed) proficiency certificate equivalent to level B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR); (iv) Achieve the computer skills certificate as prescribed by the University; (v) Strictly comply with the law, training regulations, ethical standards, and academic obligations.

Tuition Fee Reference: The tuition fee for the international standard program at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU-HCM in 2025 is VND 60,000,000/year. The tuition fee for 2026 is currently being updated and will be officially announced as soon as possible. The tuition fee is commensurate with the modern facilities, international standard curriculum, and high-quality faculty and experts.
Study Location: Students study for 4 years at the Dinh Tien Hoang Campus (10-12 Dinh Tien Hoang Street, Saigon Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) – a central location convenient for cultural exchange and international academic activities.
