In celebration of the 35th anniversary of the Vietnam Buddhist University in Ho Chi Minh City, the forum “Buddhist Studies Programs in Vietnam and Around the World” was organized with the participation of many lecturers and researchers in the field of Buddhism. This is one of the four main forums of the academic conference “Contemporary Vietnamese Buddhism: Nature, Integration, and Development.”

This is the first forum dedicated to the topic of comparing Buddhist studies curricula in Vietnam with other countries and regions worldwide, including: India, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Thailand, China, Taiwan, Tibet, South Korea, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and France, covering the three main Buddhist traditions: Theravada, Mahayana, and Vajrayana. Although it does not include every country and territory, this collection provides an overview not only of Buddhist studies or specialized Buddhist majors in Western and Eastern countries but also offers readers useful information about the history of Buddhism in 11 countries outside of Vietnam. This is a multifaceted and rich collection that helps readers gain a more comprehensive reference on Buddhism.

We would like to respectfully introduce this to our readers!
