For a very long time in social life, human beings have used various forms of activities to better improve their living environment conditions. Therefore, groups play an important role and are an inseparable environment for the birth and growth of every person. In Vietnam, social work is in the process of formation and development as a professional occupation, and the social group work method has been and is an effective approach serving many social fields, especially for vulnerable people. However, teaching this method still faces many difficulties regarding materials, textbooks, and lectures. To meet the teaching and learning needs of this subject, the University of Labor and Social Affairs has compiled the textbook “Social Group Work” and received much positive feedback from experts, lecturers, and learners.
