The Proceedings of the 2022 International Conference on English Language Teaching (ICELT 2022) with the theme “Digital Trends in ELT” compiles research works and academic discussions on trends and transformations in English teaching and learning in the digital age. This is the 6th International Conference on English Language Teaching, organized by the Faculty of English Linguistics and Literature, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City on September 30, 2022, continuing the series of biennial conferences held since 2012.
The proceedings feature selected research papers and presentations from students, lecturers, experts, researchers, and professionals both domestically and internationally. The content focuses on the development of English language teaching in the digital environment, addressing issues such as corpus-based teaching methods, teaching in digital spaces, developing digital learning materials for online and blended formats, and innovations in English teaching practices.
The proceedings include 22 research works covering various topics such as the application of Kahoot! and Quizizz in teaching, gamification, mobile-assisted language learning (MALL), the application of CEFR in the Vietnamese context, the use of Zoom in teaching, professional development for English teachers, 21st-century skills, the use of corpora in translation teaching, e-learning platforms, electronic dictionaries, flipped classrooms, and the application of information and communication technology in English language learning.
Through the selected research, the proceedings provide updated perspectives on the application of technology and methodological innovations in English teaching, while creating a reference source for lecturers, researchers, learners, and the community interested in the field of ELT in the context of digital transformation.
