From July 5 to July 6, 2026, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thi Ngoc Diep – Dean of the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City had a business trip to Yunnan Province, China, working with the Vietnam Research Division (Yunnan Academy of Social Sciences), the School of Ethnology and Sociology (Yunnan University), and the College of International Chinese Studies (Yunnan Normal University) to expand cooperation in training and scientific research.
During the working sessions, the parties discussed various cooperation directions such as organizing international scientific conferences, exchanging lecturers and students, implementing joint research programs on culture, history, and Vietnam-China relations; simultaneously promoting cooperation in translating and publishing research works.
In particular, the Dean of the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and the partners discussed building student exchange programs and developing international training models. The partner units all expressed their desire to implement cooperation agreements (MOU/MOA) to concretize the agreed contents.
The contents exchanged during the business trip will serve as a basis for the Faculty and its partners to implement specific cooperation programs in the near future. The Faculty of Vietnamese Studies continues to uphold its role as a bridge in promoting Vietnamese language and culture to international friends, contributing to consolidating friendship and enhancing mutual understanding between Vietnam and China.
