"Introduction to Engineering" is the 4th standard out of the 12 CDIO standards. This standard affirms that this is an introductory subject aimed at introducing an engineering practice framework for product creation, process setup, and system development; introducing necessary personal and communication skills. In this subject, instructors are required to transmit to learners: inspiration, desire to learn and take action; enthusiasm and passion; focus in learning; creative and innovative thinking; love for the profession and the country, responsibility to the community and society; self-confidence and continuous improvement of personal capabilities; the ability to define life and career goals with clear implementation plans, readiness and persistence to achieve them; the desire for success in the engineering profession and, more broadly, the entrepreneurial spirit to reach peaks in engineering, technology, production, and business after graduation. Thereby, learners will truly love the engineering profession they have chosen to study, form correct learning motivations, build goals and career dreams for themselves, and have plans for learning and action.
