“Military Generals and CEOs” is an interesting comparison between six great leaders of the ancient world and modern-day business leaders. The book is divided into four chronological parts, each covering one or two of the distinguished leaders of ancient Persia, Greece, Carthage, and Rome. Each part includes a short introduction that provides an overview of the geography, history, and politics of the empire, giving readers a sense of the context in which these leaders operated. In addition, it is followed by more detailed discussions of their lives, compared with leaders in the modern business world. Hopefully, the book will build a bridge between what created the great leaders of the ancient world and what we need today, as we enter the most complex, daunting, yet promising period in history - the 21st century.
