In September 2021, the alumni Liaison Department cooperated with Youth Alliance of USSH (VNU-HCM) to implement the "support students' online learning plan" and mobilize resources to support equipment services for disadvantaged students of the University.
From September 2021, under the complex epidemic situation in Ho Chi Minh City, the USSH decided to deploy online teaching to avoid interfering with students' learning process in Ho Chi Minh City in particularly and the whole country in general. In early October 2021, the School will hold a school opening ceremony, and the 2021 freshmen will officially start school.
However, many students with difficulties and financial constraints study online, with outdated equipment, unstable network, picture and sound interruption,... Especially many students still have problems, and there is no computer or equipment to surf the Internet. This directly affects the quality of students' learning.
Therefore, the alumni liaison department cooperates with the undergraduate youth alliance to implement the student online learning support plan to mobilize the support of enterprises, organizations, alumni and donors. There are the following types of supporting and supporting equipment for online learning:
- Cash: used to purchase devices supporting WiFi / 3G / 4G / 5G; Other learning aids.
- Artifacts: new or second-hand desktops, laptops, smartphones.
- Implementation time: September 10 to October 30, 2021
- Beneficiary: full time students in USSH, VNU-HCM, in difficult situation.
Dr. Phan Thanh Dinh - Vice President of the school and Head of the project steering committee said: "The organizer encourages support: laptops, new / old mobile phones are still suitable for online learning; pack of Data 3G / 4G; or financial support... The organization must conduct it synchronously, openly and transparently; it is suitable for the characteristics of each college / discipline; don't overemphasize the goal, but pay attention to the effectiveness of support and quickly support the right people and the right needs." Dr. Phan Thanh Dinh said, "at the school level, there will be a department to mobilize alumni, enterprises and sponsors. However, in order to achieve the best efficiency, the former students, faculty and disciplines of the board of directors and Liaison Department of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth League should actively organize the implementation and quickly donate and support their own units."
