To support faculty members in accessing and utilizing library resources quickly and effectively, thereby enhancing the quality of teaching and research at the University, on December 14, 2021, the Library of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH), VNUHCM organized a library training session for the Faculty of Korean Studies.
The session was attended by the Faculty Board, including Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Mai (Dean), Dr. Le Hoang Bao Tram (Vice Dean and Head of the Department of Korean Culture and Society), Dr. Phan Thi Anh Thu (Vice Dean and Head of the Department of Korean Culture and Society), along with more than 10 faculty members.
Through presentations delivered by Ms. Bui Thu Hang, M.A., Director of the Library, and Ms. Le Thi Tha, library specialist, the training focused on two main topics:
Content 1: Library products and services currently available, with emphasis on course-based resource services, interlibrary loan services, plagiarism checking services, and remote access to electronic resources, among others.
Content 2: Methods for accessing, searching, and retrieving library materials, especially electronic resources available in internal databases and those subscribed to by the University Library and the VNUHCM Library System.
The training session was successfully conducted and received strong interest, active interaction, and numerous questions from faculty members of the Faculty of Korean Studies.
On behalf of the Library, we would like to sincerely thank the faculty members for their time, attention, and active participation throughout the session. The Library hopes that such training programs will continue to provide practical benefits for faculty members of the Faculty of Korean Studies in particular, and all faculties and departments in general, in effectively utilizing the Library and the VNUHCM Library System, especially in supporting online teaching during the COVID-19 pandemic.
