On the 12th of August, at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Dinh Tien Hoang campus, the Faculty of English Linguistics and Literature (EF) hosted the 2022 Employers Conference to gather opinions and feedback from employers to serve as a basis for refining the EF undergraduate training program. Dr. Nguyen Duy Mong Ha – Head of the Department of Educational Testing and Quality Assessment and Ms. Nguyen Thao Chi – Deputy Head of the Department of Communication & Enterprise Relations represented the university. After Dr. Cao Thi Phuong Dung, Associate Dean of EF, briefed attendees on the content of the undergraduate training programme, the 12 representatives expressed their opinions on the challenges and opportunities currently available to graduates from EF. Their constructive comments will greatly contribute to the improvement of the EF BA program as well as allow the Faculty to better understand what businesses require and expect of graduates from the Faculty. According to most of the representatives, students of all three specializations were already well-versed in terms of language skills and display a certain degree of enthusiasm at work, though they still require further training to truly integrate themselves into their new work environment. On behalf of the Board of Deans, Dr. Nguyen Dang Nguyen expressed the Faculty’s appreciation and thanks to all the 12 companies, agencies, and organizations for their participation and feedback on what the Faculty’s graduates should further cultivate to enhance their competitiveness as well as increase their chances of success in their future career.
