The workshop on "Cultural identity and the mark of American - British culture in Vietnam and Malaysia" was successfully hosted by the Department of American - British Culture and Literature (DABCAL), Faculty of English Linguistics and Literature, USSH - VNU HCM on the afternoon of October the 2nd 2023.

The workshop welcomed Dr. Azriey Mazlan - Consul of Education Malaysia Ho Chi Minh City, Consulate General of Malaysia, Madame Nguyen Thi Nhiem - Assistant, Education Malaysia, and Madame Do Vu Luu Phuong - Representative of CEFALT. On the EF's side, attending the workshop were Dr. Nguyen Dang Nguyen - Dean of EF, Chair of the Department of American - British Culture and Literature, Ms. Trinh Kim Ngan - Lecturer, department secretary of the Department of American - British Culture and Literature, and instructing lecturers for the internship program.

Through two presentations titled "Observation in Cultural Studies" by Ms. Trinh Kim Ngan and "Cultural Values in Malaysia and the Country's Higher Education Context" by Dr. Azriey Mazlan, the students of DABCAL were able to learn more about observation as a research method as well as the vibrant cultural identity and education system of Malaysia.

Students attending the workshop were given the opportunity to learn more about the unique culture of Malaysia and the observation method in cultural studies, both of which will soon prove indispensable for their upcoming field trip in Malaysia.
