Announcement of An Interdisciplinary Summer Program 2025 at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Vietnam National University
Dear Faculties,
The school would like to inform the faculties about the An Interdisciplinary Summer Program 2025 at the University of Technology, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM) as follows:
1. General information
- The program is part of the "Summer School Program" of the University of Technology, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City for international students, aiming to create opportunities for international students to exchange and share interdisciplinary knowledge in solving common social problems;
- The program's theme revolves around waste treatment issues towards sustainable development in the context of climate change.
2. Time
From August 3, 2025 to August 17, 2025 (02 weeks);
3. Location
University of Technology, VNU-HCM, 268 Ly Thuong Kiet, Dien Hong Ward, Ho Chi Minh City (old address: 268 Ly Thuong Kiet, Ward 14, District 10, Ho Chi Minh City).
4. Subjects
- Foreign students (full-time) with good English proficiency, love to participate in extracurricular activities, cultural exchange;
- Priority is given to students with English certificates (IELTS from 5.5 or higher, TOEIC 600 or higher, TOEFL iBT 65 or higher... or other equivalent certificates).
5. Language used
English.
Note: the program grants a certificate or recognition of 02 credits to participants.
6. Number of participants
Maximum 05 students (priority given to diverse nationalities).
7. Cost
All course costs and transportation in the program are covered by the University of Science, VNU-HCM; students are responsible for their own meals, personal expenses and entrance tickets to Cu Chi Tunnels and Can Gio Mangrove Forest.
8. Application documents
- Nomination letter from the faculty (clearly stating information such as: full name, nationality, student ID, current student year, average score, foreign language proficiency);
- Passport copy;
- 4x6 photo.

The school requests that faculties widely inform the Program so that students can know and register to participate. Faculties are requested to send nomination letters and application documents (hard and soft copies) to the Department of Foreign Affairs and Scientific Management (Room B.005) and via email: era@hcmussh.edu.vn before 16:00, July 10, 2025 (Thursday).
