On the morning of August 22, 2025, Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNUHCM) convened the 7th Congress of Delegates of the VNUHCM Party Committee for the 2025–2030 term. This marked the first day of the two-day event.
The Congress featured a series of meaningful and vibrant activities, including tours of exhibitions organized by member universities, souvenir photo sessions, and a floral tribute ceremony at the Martyrs' Cemetery. The event welcomed a large number of delegates representing various member institutions within the VNUHCM system.
A highlight of the activities outside the main hall was the exhibition area showcasing products from member universities. Notably, the artistic book display and "Intellectual Book Tower," created by the staff of the Center for Information, Library and Museum (CILM) of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, garnered significant attention from the delegates.
The artistic book model, titled "For a Sustainable VNU-HCM," was meticulously and creatively arranged. It symbolized the enduring strength of the University through a magnificent and stable formation of the letters "ĐHQG-HCM" made entirely of books. The model was further adorned with beautiful sunflowers, representing a constant striving toward the light and symbolizing the collective aspiration of VNUHCM to always aim for excellence and brilliant development. Alongside this was the "Blooming Knowledge" book tower, featuring layers of stacked books that created a powerful visual impression of the vast and ever-growing accumulation of knowledge over time.
The first day of the Congress concluded successfully, with engaging content and activities held both inside the auditorium and in the exhibition lobby. Although the CILM artistic book corner was modest in size, its aesthetic beauty and profound meaning left a strong impression and attracted many visitors. The Congress will continue through August 23, 2025.
