In order to support students with difficult circumstances to cover part of the expenses in the new school year and during their university studies, the School has implemented the scholarship program "Lighting up the Faith" sponsored by the Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (PVcombank), specifically as follows:
1. Scholarship value
Scholarship value: maximum 15,000,000 VND/semester, including tuition and living expenses, specifically:
- Tuition: according to the student tuition fee rate and maximum 12,000,000 VND/student/semester;
- Living expenses: 3,000,000 VND/student/semester.
2. Scholarship criteria
a) University admission score: students admitted to university by the method of considering high school graduation exam scores of 21 points or higher (excluding priority points) and applicable to other admission methods with equivalent scores;
b) Family circumstances: having particularly difficult circumstances, not having enough economic conditions to support students during their university studies (Light Up Faith Fund will visit the home and locality to verify);
c) High school academic performance: at least achieving the title of advanced student for 03 consecutive years (priority is given to excellent students for 03 consecutive years, achieving achievements at the provincial/municipal, national, international levels).
3. Regulations and assessment criteria for receiving and maintaining scholarships
- Scholarships are awarded for each semester through the Ho Chi Minh City National University Development Fund. Students are sponsored for the entire study period (04 years) according to the Fund's regulations;
- Students who choose to study at schools (majors) with free tuition and living allowances will not be eligible for scholarships;
- Students who have not received full or regular scholarships from other organizations or individuals;
- After each semester, the Lighting Up Faith Fund organizes interviews to consider re-granting scholarships for the next semester;
a) Students who meet the following conditions will continue to receive scholarships:
- Semester GPA ≥ 7.0; no subject results below the average: 100% scholarship;
- Semester GPA ≥ 7.0 but subject results below the average or semester GPA from 6.5 to < 7.0: 80% scholarship;
- Semester GPA from 6.0 to < 6.5: 60% scholarship;
- Semester GPA below 6.0: no scholarship in the semester;
- School training results: good or above;
- Results of training courses of the Foundation for Lighting Up Organizational Confidence (if any): meet the requirements.
- Meet the requirements in the interview for re-granting the scholarship. In case of failure, the Interview Council recommends deducting the % of the scholarship or stopping the scholarship for the semester; at the same time, request the student to commit to performing in the next semester;
- In case the student does not meet the conditions for receiving the scholarship for 02 consecutive semesters, the Fund's Executive Board will re-interview, review and make a decision (stop the scholarship or add more opportunities to strive in the next semester);
b) In case of stopping the scholarship:
- Students voluntarily request to stop receiving scholarships because they have received other scholarships that are better or because their living conditions have improved and they can take care of themselves. Or:
- Students are disciplined, voluntarily skip exams, or drop out of school. Or:
+ Students whose academic results for 02 consecutive semesters do not meet the conditions for re-granting scholarships, the Executive Board makes a decision. Or:
+ Students with poor awareness; the Executive Board and the Student Affairs Board of the Lighting up Faith Fund in the area propose to stop granting scholarships.
4. Scholarship application documents
- Scholarship application documents (according to form 1);
- Citizen identification card (notarized copy);
- University admission certificate and copy of high school transcript (notarized);
- Poor and near-poor household book, certificate of family hardship from the locality (notarized copy) and other evidence showing other family circumstances (if any);
- Copies of certificates of merit, certificates of merit, certificates of achievement (if any);
- Original certificate of tuition fees from the training institution.
5. Time and place for receiving documents
- Time: from the date of announcement until October 7, 2025.
- Location for receiving documents at the Student Affairs Office at two campuses:

The school will pre-select and nominate students who meet the program criteria.
The Student Affairs Office would like to request the Faculty Board to notify students to know and apply for documents according to the above time.
