The Faculty of Linguistics organized a meeting at the beginning of the 2024-2 graduate course and a meeting with all graduate students of all courses.
On the morning of February 10, 2025, the Faculty of Linguistics held a meeting at the beginning of the course to introduce and provide information on the training program and training regulations for 22 students admitted to the 2024 postgraduate course, including: 10 students majoring in Linguistics, 06 PhD students (01 PhD student majoring in Linguistics, 05 PhD students majoring in Comparative Linguistics) and 06 DBTS majoring in Comparative Linguistics. Attending the meeting were Dr. Nguyen Hoang Trung - Head of the Faculty of Linguistics, Dr. Pham Hong Hai - Deputy Head of the Faculty of Linguistics and MSc. Pham Nu Nguyen Tra - Graduate Affairs of the Faculty.
At the beginning of the program, Dr. Nguyen Hoang Trung congratulated the 22 students who were admitted to the Faculty's postgraduate training programs. At the same time, Dr. Hoang Trung sent to learners in-depth and focused exchanges on a number of issues such as: learners' attitudes in the process of studying specialized topics as well as the process of writing theses and dissertations; on outlining a learning roadmap to be able to complete learning tasks on time and with high efficiency; on the spirit of progress and continuous learning of learners in the process of studying for a bachelor's degree; on fully and accurately grasping requirements, information,... from the training institution; on having certain connections with the instructor, the Faculty, and the School in activities related to learning and research tasks.

Dr. Pham Hong Hai emphasized that reading documents is very important in the research process. He raised some issues that need to be kept in mind during the reading process, such as the need to understand the concepts of research methods, objects and scope of research when implementing the topic.

Continuing the program, Ms. Pham Nu Nguyen Tra informed the learners about each training program, including: doctoral training program, master's training program (research program method 2, application program method 1). Her presentation helped learners have an overview of the training program, requirements for scientific research, foreign languages, etc. From there, learners can proactively propose a suitable and effective learning path.

In the latter part of the program, the Board of Directors met with students, PhD students, and DBTS students to grasp the learning and research situation, and to answer questions from students.
Students asked questions related to the training program, thesis and dissertation topics and received answers from the Board of Directors and the Faculty's postgraduate education department.

The program ended successfully with a serious and scientific exchange atmosphere. This is a program organized by the Faculty at the beginning of each admission period. The meeting is an opportunity for the Faculty Board and new students of the 2024 course, batch 2, to meet and answer questions related to the course. The Faculty hopes that students will complete the course on time and achieve high results in study and research.
