On March 21, 2026, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Center of Information, Library and Museum attended the 2026 Library Staff Conference organized by the VNUHCM Library System, with the participation of leadership and over 80 library staff members from member units across the entire system.
The Center's delegation attending the conference included Dr. Bui Thu Hang – Director of the Center, M.A. Vu Nguyen Anh – Deputy Director of the Center, along with 17 specialists. At the conference, delegates listened to the 2025 activity summary report, which noted many positive results in developing information resources, improving library service quality, promoting digital transformation, and strengthening resource linkage and sharing among units. Simultaneously, the conference also identified key tasks for 2026 to continue building a modern library system that effectively meets the learning and research needs of learners.

Notably, the presentation titled “Piloting an AI model to support reference services for indigenous resources through RAG models and AI Agents at the VNUHCM-University of Science Library” attracted significant interest and lively discussion from delegates. The content of the presentation opened up new approaches in exploiting indigenous resources while demonstrating the potential of applying artificial intelligence to improve the efficiency of serving users at member libraries.

Besides professional content, the conference also organized networking and team-building activities, contributing to strengthening the spirit of solidarity and cohesion among units throughout the VNUHCM library system.
Attending the conference was an opportunity for the Center of Information, Library and Museum to update on new trends, share professional experiences, and guide the implementation of activities for innovation, modernization, and technological application in serving readers in the near future.
