On the morning of May 18, 2026, at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City (Linh Xuan campus), the Opening Ceremony of the "Fragments" exhibition and the talkshow "Memories from heritage fragments" took place, organized by the Center for Information, Library and Museum in response to International Museum Day.
The program was attended by organizations and individuals who have accompanied the University in the conservation, preservation, and donation of precious artifacts and documents. In particular, the program was honored to welcome Ms. Doan Thi Trang – Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Museum; Ms. Son Thi So Vanna; collector Ho Hoang Tuan; collector Nguyen Anh Tuan; Mr. Le Hoang Quoc and Mr. Le Bao Toan.
Representing the leadership of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thi Ngoc Diep – Secretary of the Party Committee, Dr. Tran Van Thang - Standing Member of the Party Committee, Director of the Personnel and Legal Department, along with representatives of the leadership of faculties, departments, and centers under the University. From the Center for Information, Library and Museum, Dr. Bui Thu Hang and the Deputy Directors attended the program.
Delivering the opening remarks at the program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thi Ngoc Diep highly appreciated the significance of the exhibition in bringing cultural heritage values into the university educational environment. At the same time, she also expressed deep gratitude to collectors and benefactors who have trusted the University with precious documents and artifacts, effectively contributing to research, teaching, and traditional education for the younger generation.

Within the framework of the program, collector Ho Hoang Tuan continued to donate more valuable artifacts to serve research, display, and heritage preservation work at the University.
On this occasion, representatives of the University leadership also presented thank-you letters and souvenirs to individuals, collectors, and benefactors who have accompanied and contributed to the exhibition and the work of preserving and spreading cultural heritage values.

Immediately after the opening ceremony, delegates, faculty members, and a large number of students visited the exhibition space. Under the engaging presentation of the staff from the Center for Information, Library and Museum, many precious artifacts and documents attracted the attention of attendees due to their historical and cultural value, as well as the stories associated with the journey of preservation and donation to the University.

Continuing the series of activities, the talkshow "Memories from heritage fragments" took place under the guidance of the guest speaker: Dr. Nguyen Thi Hau – Vice President and General Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Historical Science Association.

With her experience and deep love for archaeology, Dr. Nguyen Thi Hau brought many interesting stories revolving around artifacts and heritage memories, while emphasizing the role of maintaining, preserving, and spreading cultural values in modern life. The exchange session was lively with many questions from students about archaeology, heritage conservation, and the role of the younger generation in preserving community cultural memories.
The series of opening activities for the exhibition and talkshow concluded the first day in an inspiring atmosphere, opening up a useful academic cultural space for all faculty and students of the University. The event not only contributed to honoring precious heritage values but also strongly aroused the sense of responsibility of the younger generation in preserving and promoting the nation's cultural roots.
