NOTICE ON THE SELECTION OF STUDENTS FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE 21st ASEAN YOUTH CULTURAL FORUM AND THE 11th ASEAN+3 YOUTH CULTURAL FORUM IN CHINA

The University would like to inform the Faculties of the 21st ASEAN Youth Cultural Forum and the 11th ASEAN+3 Youth Cultural Forum as follows:
1. Time and Venue
Date: July 28 – August 2, 2026
Venue: Guizhou University, China
2. Program Overview
- The ASEAN Youth Cultural Forum and ASEAN+3 Youth Cultural Forum are annual events jointly organized by the ASEAN University Network (AUN) and its member universities on a rotational hosting basis. The forums aim to strengthen friendship and cooperation among universities through a deeper understanding of the cultures of ASEAN member countries and the three East Asian countries (China, Japan, and South Korea).
- Theme: Innovating While Inheriting – Integrated Development of Culture, Tourism, and Sports from a Global Perspective.
- Main activities include seminars, cultural performances, and field visits. The Forum gathers talented young artists to showcase the diverse beauty of arts and cultures from participating countries while preserving the traditional values of the ASEAN+3 community.
3. Funding and Expenses
- The Forum organizers will cover accommodation, local transportation during official activities, and meals throughout the program.
- Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM) will support common delegation expenses, including gifts, telephone and internet costs, choreography, and rehearsal expenses.
- The University will provide financial support for selected students participating in the VNU-HCM delegation as follows:

Students are responsible for airport transportation within Vietnam, certain meals, and other personal expenses not covered by the program.
4. Number of Nominees
Each Faculty may nominate up to one (01) student.
5. Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Demonstrate good English communication and presentation skills;
- Possess at least one of the following talents: singing, dancing, or performing traditional musical instruments;
- Have a solid understanding of Vietnam’s history, culture, economy, and society;
- Have knowledge of ASEAN and Vietnam’s ASEAN integration process;
- Be familiar with the VNU-HCM system;
- Preference will be given to students actively involved in university or faculty cultural and artistic clubs, teams, or groups.
6. Application Documents
- Student Information Form (attached);
- Application Form (available at: https://forms.office.com/r/vmiAjNDX4B). Applicants should complete this form only after being officially nominated by VNU-HCM;
- Copy of the passport information page;
- Scanned copy of English language certificate(s);
- English course transcript/grade report;
- Supporting documents demonstrating extracurricular activities, academic achievements, and talents relevant to the program.

The University kindly requests Faculties to widely disseminate this information to interested students. Faculties are requested to submit their nomination letter and application dossier (both hard and soft copies) to the Office of External Relations and Scientific Management (Room B.005), via email at era@hcmussh.edu.vn, no later than 11:00 a.m., June 4, 2026 (Thursday).
