Announcement on the Darmasiswa Scholarship Program of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia for the Academic Year 2026–2027

Dear Faculties,

The University would like to inform the Faculties of the Darmasiswa Scholarship Program of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia for the Academic Year 2026–2027, as follows:

1. Scholarship Information

The Darmasiswa Scholarship Program for the Academic Year 2026–2027 is organized by the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education of the Republic of Indonesia in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia.

Darmasiswa is a non-degree scholarship program lasting 10 months, offered by the Government of Indonesia to international students from countries that maintain diplomatic relations with Indonesia. The program provides participants with the opportunity to study the Indonesian language (Bahasa Indonesia), Indonesian arts, and culture at one of 64 universities located in various cities throughout Indonesia.

2. Scholarship Benefits

• Successful applicants will receive a monthly living allowance of IDR 4,700,000, a one-time book allowance of IDR 2,000,000, and a one-time settlement allowance of IDR 4,700,000.
• Accommodation and transportation during the Orientation Program will be provided for successful applicants whose arrival dates coincide with the schedule arranged by the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education.
• The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education of the Republic of Indonesia does not provide international airfare to and from Indonesia.

Note: Applicants are advised to bring additional funds (preferably in USD) to cover any unforeseen personal expenses during their stay in Indonesia.

3. Application Timeline

• Online application period: May 15, 2026 – June 15, 2026;
• Interview and document screening by the Indonesian Embassy and Consulates: June 16, 2026 – June 23, 2026;
• University admission selection process: June 24, 2026 – June 30, 2026;
• Announcement of results: July 2, 2026.

4. Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

• Be foreign nationals;
• Have completed secondary education or its equivalent;
• Be between 18 and 32 years of age;
• Possess English communication skills (supported by English proficiency certificates such as TOEFL, TOEIC, IELTS, or other equivalent certificates, if available);
• Be in good health, as evidenced by a medical certificate;
• Have basic knowledge of the selected field of study;
• Demonstrate strong interest and enthusiasm in pursuing the chosen field;
• Not have previously participated in the Darmasiswa Scholarship Program or the Kemitraan Negara Berkembang (KNB) Scholarship Program (former recipients/alumni of these programs are not eligible);
• Not currently be studying or working in Indonesia.
