Darmasiswa Scholarship Program- Indonesia

1. Scholarship Information:

The Darmasiswa Scholarship Program of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia for the 2026/2027 academic year is organized by the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education of the Republic of Indonesia in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia.

The Darmasiswa Scholarship Program is a 10-month non-degree scholarship program offered by the Indonesian Government to international students from countries with diplomatic ties to Indonesia. The program provides opportunities for learners to study the Indonesian language (Bahasa Indonesia), arts, and culture at one of 64 universities across various cities in Indonesia.

2. Scholarship Benefits:

- Successful applicants will receive a living allowance of IDR 4,700,000/month, a one-time book allowance of IDR 2,000,000, and a one-time settlement allowance of IDR 4,700,000.

- Successful applicants will be provided with accommodation and transportation during the Orientation Program if the arrival time coincides with the schedule provided by the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education.

- The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education of the Republic of Indonesia does not provide international flight tickets to/from Indonesia.

Note: Applicants are advised to bring extra cash (preferably USD) for personal expenses that may arise unexpectedly in Indonesia.

3. Timeline:
- Online application: 15/05/2026 - 15/06/2026;

- Interview & Document Review at Indonesian Embassy and Consulates: 16/06/2026 - 23/06/2026;

- University selection process: 24/06/2026 - 30/06/2026;

 - Announcement of results: 02/07/2026.

4. Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be a foreign citizen;

- Completed secondary education or equivalent;

- Between 18 and 32 years of age;

- Proficient in English (possess English language certificates such as: TOEFL/TOEIC/IELTS or others if applicable);

- In good health, evidenced by a Medical Certificate;

- Have basic knowledge of the field of study applied for;

- Have a strong passion and interest in studying the chosen field;

- Not a previous recipient of the Darmasiswa scholarship or the Kemitraan Negara Berkembang (KNB) scholarship (not an alumni of these scholarship programs).

- Currently not studying or working in Indonesia.
