On September 7, 2026, within the framework of the thematic program “Marine Culture - An Interdisciplinary Research Direction in Vietnam and Japan”, Prof. Akifumi Iwabuchi - Professor at Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology (Japan), Visiting Professor at Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City, visited the Center for Information, Library and Museum, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City.
At the Vietnam Sea and Islands Exhibition Room, Prof. Akifumi Iwabuchi visited the exhibition space and was introduced to typical materials and artifacts such as ancient manuscripts, royal administrative records, maps, etc., thereby learning more about the history, culture, and life of the Vietnamese community associated with the marine space through different periods. The Professor also spent time visiting the University Library to research and consult documents and books related to his field of study.
Through the visit of Prof. Akifumi Iwabuchi, the exhibition spaces and resources at the Center continue to serve as a bridge for academic activities, research, and international exchange.News: Thai My, Hanh Uyen
