Announcement regarding the student exchange program with the School of Political Science and Economics, Meiji University, Japan, Spring semester 2027

Dear students,
The Faculty would like to send you information regarding the student exchange program with the School of Political Science and Economics, Meiji University, Japan, for the Spring semester 2027, as follows:
1. Duration (tentative)
- Spring semester: March 2027 - August 2027;
- Fall semester: September 2027 - February 2028;
- Students can choose to participate in an exchange for 01 semester or 02 semesters (01 academic year).
2. Eligibility
- Students in their second year or higher, with good academic performance or above, and who will not graduate during the program duration;
- For the program taught in English: TOEFL iBT 71 or higher, or level 4 (according to the new grading scale) or higher, TOEIC 710 or higher, IELTS 5.5 or higher, Cambridge ESOL FCE or higher, CEFR B1, or equivalent proficiency. Certificates must be valid within 02 years;
- For the program taught in Japanese: JLPT N3 certificate or higher, or equivalent proficiency. Certificates must be valid within 02 years, except for N1 level.
3. Costs
Students are exempted from tuition fees when participating in the program and are responsible for all other expenses.
4. Quota
Each faculty may nominate a maximum of 02 students.
5. Major
Students will take courses at the School of Political Science and the School of Economics. Additionally, the program offers some Japanese language courses for students who wish to learn more Japanese.
6. Application Documents
- Information sheet (as per template);
- Document checklist (as per template);
- Nomination letter from the Dean of the Faculty;
- Study plan (as per template);
- Copy of valid foreign language certificate;
- Transcript of all semesters (in English);
- Health certificate (as per template);
- Copy of passport main page and portrait photo;
- Proof of financial support (over 1,440,000 JPY for students on a 1-year exchange or over 720,000 JPY for students on a 1-semester exchange).
