On the afternoon of September 8, 2026, at the Saigon campus, the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies organized a Welcoming Ceremony for new postgraduate students and PhD candidates of Phase 1, 2026.
Attending the program were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thi Ngoc Diep – Dean of the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies; Dr. Nguyen Hoang Phuong – Vice Dean of the Faculty, Head of the Vietnamese Studies program, along with faculty members, academic staff, and 44 new postgraduate students.
Speaking at the program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thi Ngoc Diep extended her greetings and best wishes to the new students, while sharing general information about the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and the Vietnamese Studies discipline, the learning and research environment, as well as opportunities available to students during their studies at the Faculty. She also expressed her expectation that students would be proactive and active in their learning and research, promoting a spirit of connection, academic exchange, and companionship with the Faculty in the time to come.
Within the framework of the program, new students were introduced and guided by lecturers and academic staff regarding the training program, subjects, study plans, and regulations related to the postgraduate learning process. Students' questions about the program, subjects, procedures, and learning activities were also directly discussed and answered by the lecturers and staff.
The direct sharing and exchange between lecturers, staff, and students contributed to creating a sense of closeness and connection right from the early days of their learning and research journey at the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies.
The Faculty of Vietnamese Studies wishes the new students of Phase 1, 2026, a successful and meaningful learning and research journey.
