Announcement on student exchange program with Kansai University, Japan for Spring semester 2027

Dear students,
The University would like to announce the information regarding the student exchange program with Kansai University, Japan for the Spring semester 2027, as follows:
1. Duration (tentative)
- Spring semester: April 2027 - September 2027;
- Fall semester: September 2027 - March 2028;
- Students may choose to exchange for 01 or 02 semesters.
2. Eligibility
- Full-time undergraduate students from the second year onwards;
- Students who will not graduate during the duration of the program;
- Students with good academic performance or higher;
- Students with Japanese language proficiency of JLPT N2 or J.TEST level C or higher if enrolling in the Japanese-taught program, or English proficiency of B2 or higher according to CEFR if enrolling in the English-taught program.
3. Costs
Students are exempt from tuition fees and must cover other expenses themselves.
4. Quantity
Each faculty nominates 01 student.
5. Academic program
- Global Frontier and Skill Up for Studying Abroad courses: taught entirely in English for Japanese and international students, including the following programs:
 + Global Frontier: includes 8 modules (such as interdisciplinary approaches to sustainability, Japanese studies, language of instruction and communication, geopolitical studies, social science research, and understanding diversity and integration, etc.) to help develop global skills;
+ Skill Up for Studying Abroad: improve English language skills.
- Courses for international students: taught in Japanese, including Japanese language courses and courses on Japanese culture, Business Japanese, and internship courses at Japanese companies or organizations;
- Specialized courses: taught in Japanese. Exchange students with high Japanese proficiency (after passing the Japanese placement test) can register for specialized courses in other faculties of Kansai University, helping students improve their Japanese language skills as well as learn specialized knowledge in various fields.
Note: Exchange students are required to participate in at least one multicultural collaborative course offered by the faculties each semester.
6. Application dossier
- Information form (as per template);
- ID photo;
- Copy of passport main page;
- Certificate of enrollment (in English);
- Academic transcript for all semesters (in English);
- Health check certificate (as per template);
- Recommendation letter (as per template);
- Commitment letter to participate in the exchange program (as per template);
- Foreign language certificate;
- Dormitory application form if required (as per template).

Note: 
- Students submit applications to their faculties for the faculties to carry out the nomination process and forward the files to the International Relations and Scientific Management Office;
- VSTEP certificates are not accepted for this program;
- Incomplete application dossiers or those submitted after the deadline will be considered invalid;
- Students should carefully research relevant information about the program (such as living expenses, academic program, visa application process, etc.) before applying.
