FCS - EF COLLABORATION: WELCOMING INTERNS FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF GLASGOW, UK

On the 5th of June 2025, the Faculty of English Linguistics and Literature (EF), USSH, VNUHCM saw the successful conclusion of the intership of graduate students from the Faculty of Critical Studies (FSC), University of Glasgow, UK, at EF as part of the MOU between the two institutions. During the internship, the interns learn more about English Language Teaching in the local context and have opportunities to experience and immerse in Vietnamese culture.

The program began on the 26^th of May with a warm welcome from members of EF at the English Resources Center (ERC) - our hub for all academic and diplomatic events, followed by a university tour of Dinh Tien Hoang campus to formally introduce students from the University of Glasgow to our school.

There were a series of internship activities on the following days, including class observation with the supervision of selected EF lecturers starting from the 28th of May, previously for 10 days by FSC staff, culminating in a seminar at ERC to share their findings and experiences with the EF lecturers. The seminar provided an invaluable opportunity to learn from and learn about each other, marking the end of a very successful collaborative effort across continents.

The interns spent the last day getting around with EF undergraduate students in a campus tour around Thu Duc Campus, which was an unforgettable memory for them to be told to other students from FCS to encourage them to go to Vietnam for their internship in the future.

To the interns who came to Vietnam this time, we hope you enjoyed your experience at our university, and that this is only the first of many more such programs to come.
