The "Ve Nguon" program within the framework of "Orientation Week 2023" took place on the morning of September 12, 2023, at the History Museum of Ho Chi Minh City with the participation of freshmen from 2+2 joint programs.
According to the representative of the Center for International Education, students majoring in Communication in association with Deakin University (Australia), International Relations in association with Deakin University (Australia), English in association with the University of Minnesota Crookston (USA), and Chinese language in association with Guangxi Normal University (China) are learning about Vietnam’s historical events to understand and appreciate the nation’s history. This is also an important teaching method to help students gain a strong academic foundation before transferring to another country.
During the trip, the freshmen listened to narratives of Vietnamese historical periods and learned about Vietnamese exhibits and ancient civilizations such as Oc Eo, Sa Huynh, Champa, etc. The personnel of the History Museum of Ho Chi Minh City also answered many questions from the students.

Students had the opportunity to see thousands of artifacts from ancient cultures in Saigon - Gia Dinh in particular, and in general, Vietnam. In addition, students observed statues and antiques from Vietnam's feudal dynasties such as the Ly, Tran, and Nguyen - the last dynasty of Vietnam,... as well as various documents that are incredibly valuable in fields such as archaeology, ethnography, history, and museology.

Through the "Ve Nguon" program, CIE hopes that the freshmen are provided with the necessary knowledge and a rich understanding of Vietnam's history. In the near future, CIE will organize more meaningful activities for students to learn about the culture and history of the home country.
