Faculty of Psychology officially launches the enrollment for the Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in Psychology program for the 2026-2027 academic year

At 9:00 AM on May 25, 2026 (Monday), in Room D102, at the campus located at 10-12 Dinh Tien Hoang Street, Saigon Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH), Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM), held a meeting of the Academic Assessment Council for the Proposal to open a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (Honors) Program. The meeting was conducted based on Decision No. 939/QD-XHNV-TCCB-PC dated May 14, 2026, of the Rector of the University regarding the establishment of the Academic Assessment Council.

During the evaluation session, the project team from the Faculty of Psychology presented a detailed report on the content of the international standard Bachelor's degree program in Psychology (Program Code: 7310401). After a serious and objective working session, the evaluation council thoroughly discussed and unanimously approved the Faculty's proposal based on the following comprehensive evaluation criteria:
Necessity of opening the honors program: The council recognized that opening the program is a pioneering step, meeting the urgent needs of society and the labor market for psychology professionals with a global mindset, English language proficiency, and adaptability to a multicultural environment.
Progam objectives and learning outcomes: The program aims to train human resources with strong professional competence, ethical qualities, modern knowledge, and practical and research skills according to international standards.

Program Structure and Content: The curriculum is scientifically designed, advanced, and closely referenced and compared with prestigious Psychology programs worldwide, while adhering to the current regulations of the University and VNU-HCM.
Faculty and Scientific Staff: The Faculty boasts a team of experienced full-time and visiting lecturers with strong professional teaching skills in English and solid scientific research capabilities.
Facilities: The system of classrooms, practical equipment, and library resources are fully equipped, modern, and optimized to enhance the practical learning experience for students.
Management: The program management system, academic advisors, and administrative staff are comprehensively strengthened, ensuring professionalism and efficiency in operation.
Risk prevention and management plan: The project has developed clear and proactive contingency plans to ensure maximum protection of learners' legitimate learning rights throughout the course.

With the project proposal officially approved by the evaluation council, the Faculty of Psychology will begin recruiting students for the internationally standardized Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in Psychology program in the 2026-2027 academic year. In the first year, the program is expected to enroll two classes with 50 students each.
