Awarding Master's Degrees to Graduates of the Joint Master’s program Media and Communications Management
On the afternoon of February 17, 2022, the Center for International Education held a Commencement Ceremony to honor the Master's program in Media and Communications Management in association with the University of Stirling (UK). At the ceremony, 9 students were conferred master's degrees in Media and Communications Management after 2 years of study and research.
The ceremony welcomed the presence of Dr. Pham Tan Ha - Vice President of USSH, Prof. Neville Wylie - Deputy Principal of the University of Stirling, Dr. Nguyen Thi Thuy Duyen - Deputy Head of the Office of Academic Affairs - Postgraduate Training, Ms. Nguyen Anh Quan - Director of the Center for International Education, etc. In addition, 9 graduates also participated in the ceremony in person and online.

In his opening speech, Dr. Pham Tan Ha highly appreciated the efforts and dedication of the students during their time studying at the University. In addition, the Vice President expressed his gratitude to the companionship of the University of Stirling, the Center for International Education, the teaching staff, the students, and their families throughout the training program. "We see that, in universities, media majors are also being studied by an unprecedented number of students with excellent results. Or in businesses, communication, public relations, or marketing departments that are investing heavily in human resources. The mentioned examples, in part, have conveyed a strong message about the important role of communications in the contemporary world. However, the reality of our society and the lessons learned through it have also reminded us to practice communication with responsibility, humanity, and ethics. I believe that you fully possess those noble qualities of a person who works in the Communication field."- Dr. Pham Tan Ha said to the new graduates.
On behalf of the University of Stirling, Prof. Neville Wylie expressed pride in the decades-long partnership with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. In addition, the Deputy Principal of the University of Stirling expressed his gratitude for the continuous efforts of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in successfully organizing the joint program Master's in Media and Communications Management. Sharing his feelings about the achievements of the new master's hodlers, Prof. Neville Wylie said: “Your relationship with the University of Stirling will not end after today's ceremony. You are members of the University of Stirling alumni community with about 92,000 members spread across 170 countries, of which Vietnam has nearly 300 members. Moreover, the University of Stirling will remain as your “house of knowledge”.

At the ceremony, the hosts also announced the Graduation Decision and award degrees to new Masters in Media and Communications Management. On behalf of the new graduates, graduate Tran Minh Hien said that the experiences gained while studying and researching at the university are valuable assets for his future profession. In addition, the new graduate expressed his joy and gratitude for the support and encouragement of the board of presidents of the two universities, lecturers, and fellow students. “As we walk out of the hall today, don't stop trying, and strive for greatness. The MSc in Media and Communications Management program is a prestigious and quality master's degree program taught and issued by the University of Stirling. Students study in English with professors from the University of Stirling, teaching staff who are communication experts in Vietnam, and experienced lecturers at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU-HCM. Upon completion of their courses and research dissertation, students will receive the internationally recognized degree “MSc in Media and Communications Management” from the University of Stirling.
