In February 2021, the Center for International Education, USSH collaborated with the School of Political Science and Economics, Meiji University to organize the online Viet Nam Study Program for 11 Japanese students despite being affected by the global Covid-19 pandemic.
Students study with a program professor who is researching in the United States.
Through courses in the program such as Vietnamese Language, Vietnamese Economy, Vietnamese Society, Vietnamese History and Culture, and International Relations, students learn about Vietnamese culture and society. In addition to the sessions, CIE is very pleased to be able to connect students from Meiji University with students at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities through online cultural exchanges. Japanese and Vietnamese students are very excited to befriend each other and share their knowledge, experience, and opinions on various topics.
The Center for International Education is pleased to be able to continue implementing the program even though students cannot travel to Vietnam due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The Center for International Education hopes that in the coming years, CIE can welcome international students to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to participate in the program with more interesting and meaningful activities.
