Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM) ranked high in the world for Social Sciences

On October 14, 2021, the World University Ranking by Subject 2022 of Times Higher Education (THE) announced the ranking results of 2 subjects, including Social Sciences as well as Business and Economics.
According to the World University Ranking by Subject 2022, Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM) was placed in group 601+ globally for Social Sciences as well as Business and Economics. It is the first time VNU-HCM has been listed in the ranking for Social Sciences.
When it comes to VNU-HCM’s Social Sciences, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Ho Chi Minh City, a member of VNU-HCM, is considered the largest training and research institution in Southern Vietnam, specializing in this group of academic disciplines.
Up to now, THE has proclaimed the rankings for 10 out of 11 subjects, 6 of which featured VNU-HCM. In particular, apart from the two aforementioned subjects, VNU-HCM secured a place in group 601-800 for Life Sciences and Computer Science, in group 801-1000 for Physical Sciences and Engineering. The results of these rankings are based on five groups of performance indicators, namely Citation, Industry Income, International Outlook, Research, and Teaching.
