Seminar Series "Accompanying Children's Growth through Montessori Education" (For Children from 2.5 to 6 years old)

Preschool education has a crucial role in the long-term development of children. This stage is considered as the first step since it will lay the foundation for the next levels of education, and help children comprehensively grow and develop in terms of personality as well as intellect. With that in mind, the Center for International Education (CIE), USSH, VNU-HCM will organize the seminar series "Accompanying Children's Growth through Montessori Education" (for children from 2.5 to 6 years old) dedicated to officials and employees working at the University

In recent years, Montessori education has received a lot of attention from educators, teachers, and parents in Vietnam. Through this series, employees and their children will visit and experience Montessori classrooms at the University. These seminars will include specialized tools that help attendees gain a deeper understanding of the application of advanced educational methods based on the research of Italian physician and educator - Maria Montessori to best support the development of children.

The seminar series will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. every Saturday during July 2022. The seminars provide knowledge about Montessori Education throughout 4 sessions as follows:

• Session 1: Montessori Education and What Parents Need to Know.
• Session 2: Adult Support during a Child's Sensitive Period.
• Session 3: Understand and Awaken Your Child's Potential through Observation.
• Session 4: Provide your Child with the Key to Open the Door to the Future.

The speaker will be Dr. Ly Binh Nhung - Lecturer of the Faculty of Education and the Montessori Teacher is Ms. Ly Khanh Linh - Coordinator of the Montessori Education Program, Center for International Education. They both completed the Montessori teacher training course (2.5-6) of the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI), which was organized by the Montessori Training Center Northeast and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU-HCM.

The seminars provide fundamental knowledge about Montessori philosophy and educational methods. In addition, these sessions will create opportunities for children to practice and play in an environment prepared with Montessori materials suitable for children.
