From June 19, 2022 to August 6, 2022, the Psychology Student Club successfully organized the LIBER 2022 book review contest.
LIBER is a book review writing contest organized annually by the Psychology Student Club, affiliated with the Faculty of Psychology, University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University-HCM. The contest is for all students who are passionate about Psychology and love reading books and stories nationwide. This year, the Liber 2022 contest with the theme "DA" - taking the image of being immersed in silence, contestants are asked to write about a book that evokes nocturnal activities: the awakening of thoughts and perceptions. and be honest with the repressed, hidden self during the day.
“LIBER is a traditional program of the Psychology Student Club. This is a program aimed at meaningful academic activities in both professional and social fields, bringing good movement to students." Receiving encouragement and support from teachers who are lecturers in the Department of Psychology, University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University-HCM, and also the Jury, who "carefully" choose worthy articles. The most worthy winner, the contest received enthusiastic support and spread to students in the Faculty in particular and students interested in Psychology in general.
"Reading culture, in addition to reading habits, interests and skills, is also reading behavior, reading value and reading experience. In total, the contest received 25 entries. Most of the candidates come from the Department of Psychology of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University-HCM with the participation of many different universities across the country.
On August 6, 2022, the contest ended successfully with excellent results from the contestants:
- First Prize: Bien Thi Ha Mi with the article "Forever Lives - The Journey to Awaken Consciousness" about the work "For All Lives" by author Nguyen Phong.
- Second Prize: Tran Trong Doan with the article "Sleeping Beauties: A Long Night of Changes" about the work Sleeping Beauties by author Kawabata Yasunari.
- Third prize: Chu Thi Ngoc with the article "To a friend - Someone who is struggling with their own emotions" about the work "Sleepless nights and slow days" by the author group A Crazy Mind.
- Prize for the most interesting entry: Tran Trong Doan with the article "Sleeping Beauties: A Long Night of Changes" about the work Sleeping Beauties by author Kawabata Yasunari.
After ending, the contest received many positive feedback and comments from teachers and students for the contest.
The Psychology Student Club hopes that the LIBER 2022 competition has brought a healthy environment, encouraging the spirit of reading and sharing, as well as creating opportunities for students to develop their creativity, insight and Reevaluate the knowledge you have received, especially psychological knowledge, in a new perspective.
