A large number of Candidates attending the International Joint Program Master in Linguistics with TESOL Concentration - Cohort 08 Course Orientation

On the morning of March 5, the Center for International Education (CIE) held the Course Orientation for the program Master of Arts in Linguistics with TESOL Concentration. This is the 8th international joint course in association with Benedictine University, USA. The orientation attracted the presence of many candidates.
From Benedictine University, there was the online presence of Prof. Sandra Kies - Program Director and Dr. Olga D. Lambert - Head of the Language and Literature Department. From the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, there was the presence of Dr. Nguyen Dang Nguyen - Dean of the Faculty of English Linguistics and Literature; Dr. Tran Thanh Huong - Standing Deputy Director, Mr. Tran Nam - Deputy Director of the Center for International Education as well as the candidates.
Speaking at the opening of the event, Dr. Tran Thanh Huong expressed her appreciation for the support from Benedictine University. At the same time, she also promised that the orientation would answer any inquiries from the students and assist them in choosing a suitable academic decision.

Next, Mr. Tran Nam briefly introduced the Center for International Education and its popular joint training programs. In particular, the Master in Linguistics with TESOL Concentration program in association with Benedictine University, USA is an excellent program that is of great interest to Vietnamese students who wish to study and develop their careers.“Many graduates of this program have promising careers, high income, and especially, enhanced expertise” shared by the Deputy Director of the Center for International Education.

Representing Benedictine University, Dr. Olga Lambert said that the University always gives Vietnamese students the freedom to opt for the right fields and creates opportunities for students to participate in internships at the university. More specifically, Prof. Sandra Kies has shared with the students what to prepare for their admission forms such as a notarized copy of their university degree (with English translation), a notarized copy of their transcript (with English translation), two letters of recommendation from employers, personal recommendation letter, IELTS/TOEFL iBT/CEFR C1 certificate, and application fee. Moreover, Dr. Olga D. Lambert and Prof. Sandra Kies also answered students' questions relating to the program and future career opportunities, especially the opportunity to work as an expatriate Linguistics lecturer.

The orientation aims to instruct students on the high-quality English teaching training program and organize a Q&A session for students interested in the program. Until now, the program has been operating for 7 years and has contributed to the training of many exceptional lecturers with the ability to innovate teaching methods to meet society's increasing demand.
