
Since the conflict broke out on October 7, Israel and Hamas reached their first temporary ceasefire agreement on the night of November 21. This is the result of five weeks of intense, secret negotiations between the US, Qatar, Egypt, Israel, and Hamas. In an article in Tuoi Tre newspaper, Dr. Huynh Tam Sang, a lecturer at the Faculty of International Relations, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City, assessed that the ceasefire agreement contributes to de-escalating tension and minimizing losses and casualties. However, peace remains fragile as Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu delivered his “iron” message: “...continue the war until the goals are achieved.”
