[MOA] Memorandum of Understanding on research cooperation in the field of Information and Library Science between University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU-HCM) and Mara University of Technology, Malaysia (UiTM)

[7/31/2023] University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM) and Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation in the field of Information and Library Science with the aim of formalizing and promoting long-term cooperation in research and teaching.

In particular, based on the exchanges between the Faculty of Library and Information Science, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU-HCM and the Faculty of Information Management of Universiti Teknologi MARA, both faculties agreed to implement a collaborative research project entitled "Digital competencies needed by librarians in higher education institutions: A comparative study between Malaysia and Vietnam" with representatives of the two faculties co-chairing the project as Assoc.Prof.Dr. Ngo Thi Huyen and Dr. Siti Khairunnisa Binti Sheikh Abdul Mutalib.

Along with the trend of international cooperation in research and teaching, this Memorandum of Understanding is a favorable premise for the academic activities of the Faculty of Library and Information Science in the new context.
