THE 2ND INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT (ICKM2 2026): TOWARDS THE FUTURE OF LIBRARIES, ARCHIVES, AND INFORMATION ORGANIZATIONS

On November 26, 2026, the 2nd International Conference on Knowledge Management (ICKM2 2026) will be held under the theme “Towards the Future of Libraries, Archives, and Information Organizations”. The conference serves as an academic forum to enhance knowledge exchange, share research findings, and promote cooperation among scientists, lecturers, researchers, experts, and practitioners in the fields of knowledge management, library and information science, archives, and related areas.
An academic exchange forum in the context of digital transformation and artificial intelligence
The rapid development of artificial intelligence, big data, new technologies, and the process of digital transformation are profoundly changing the way individuals and organizations create, organize, store, exploit, share, and use knowledge. These changes simultaneously pose new requirements for libraries, archives, and information organizations in innovating management methods, developing services, preserving knowledge resources, and improving the ability to meet the information needs of society.
In this context, ICKM2 2026 aims to form a multidisciplinary academic exchange space, connecting research with practice and promoting new approaches to knowledge management. The conference provides an opportunity for researchers and experts to discuss new issues, share experiences, present research results, and propose solutions to contribute to improving the operational efficiency of libraries, archives, and information organizations in the digital environment.
Conference themes
ICKM2 2026 accepts research papers within eight main theme groups:
1. Artificial intelligence and intelligent knowledge systems
Studies on artificial intelligence, generative AI, machine learning, knowledge graphs, intelligent search and recommendation systems; applications of AI in knowledge management, libraries, archives, and information organizations; AI literacy; human-AI collaboration; ethical issues, responsibility, and transparency in the use of AI.
2. Digital transformation and knowledge ecosystems
Digital transformation models and strategies; digital knowledge systems; digital working environments; management and leadership in the digital environment; organizational innovation and the formation of knowledge ecosystems in the context of the developing digital society.
3. Knowledge preservation, organizational memory, and cultural heritage
Studies on digital preservation, long-term archiving, records management, digital resource management, organizational memory, indigenous knowledge preservation; digitization, organization, and promotion of the value of collections, documents, and cultural heritage.
4. Knowledge management in libraries, archives, and information organizations
Models, methods, and solutions for knowledge management; digital libraries; digital archives; user-centered information services; research support; knowledge sharing and performance evaluation of libraries, archives, and information organizations.
5. Data, data analytics, and knowledge mining
Studies on big data, data analytics, knowledge analytics, research data management, open science, data governance, data and information quality; application of data in supporting decision-making and improving organizational management efficiency.
6. Learning organizations, knowledge sharing, and leadership
Issues of knowledge culture, communities of practice, knowledge sharing behavior, learning organizations, knowledge management in higher education, leadership capacity, and the development of knowledge-based organizations.
7. New technologies in knowledge management
Studies and applications related to blockchain, Internet of Things (IoT), extended reality (XR) environments, immersive digital spaces, digital twins, smart libraries, smart archives, and other emerging technologies with the potential to impact knowledge management activities.
8. Sustainable development, governance, and policy
The role of knowledge management in implementing sustainable development goals; information policy; knowledge management in the public sector; bridging the digital divide; equity in information access; digital governance and sustainable knowledge development models.

Interested authors and delegates should note the following dates:
September 30, 2026: Deadline for full-paper submission;
October 15, 2026: Peer review feedback sent;
October 17, 2026: Notification of acceptance results;
November 1, 2026: Final manuscript submission and registration deadline;
