Graduation internship presentation for students of Department of Environmental Geography, school year 2020-2024

      On May 31, 2024, at the Office of the Faculty of Geography, the Department of Environmental Geography organized a final presentation for the Graduation Internship for 18 students in the 2020-2024 school year. Graduation internships are a significant credit to the education program. It is a transition step between the university learning environment and social practice, helping students explore their career paths and gain experience in their field of interest. Based on personal capacity, aspirations and actual requirements, students will be sent to organizations (public or private) whose activities are related to the student's trained expertise. Students will come to work at the companies/institutions according to a particular schedule agreed upon between the student and the instructor, get acquainted with the actual working environment, practice the necessary skills and behaviours at the workplace and participate in performing professional work as assigned. Students also conduct a research topic in the environmental field that is of interest to the student and related to the expertise of the company/institution. The internship is also an opportunity for students to reassess the extent to which the knowledge and skills they have accumulated in university meet their practical work needs.

       The students reported the results obtained after 3 months of interning at organizations. At the same time, they also presented self-assessments about their strengths and weaknesses in their ability to apply trained knowledge when facing real work. The presentation also allows students to make suggestions about the department's education program.
