FACULTY OF URBAN STUDIES HAS A MAJOR IN URBAN MANAGEMENT UNDER THE URBAN STUDIES MAJOR (MAJOR CODE 7580112)
APPLICATION FROM THE 2022 ENROLLMENT COURSE
Based on Decision No. 2426/QD-UBND dated July 5, 2021 of the City People's Committee on Approval of the Master Plan for training international-level human resources (08 majors: 1. Information and communication technology; 2. Mechanics - Automation; 3. Artificial intelligence; 4. Business administration; 5. Finance - Banking; 6. Healthcare; 7. Tourism; 8. Urban Management) for the period 2020 - 2035 and the University shares;
Based on the results of the research project: Project on training international-level human resources in the field of Urban Management, chaired by Dr. Pham Tan Ha - Vice President of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU-HCM.
Pursuant to Decision No. 1254/QD-XHNV-DT of the President of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU-HCM dated July 24, 2024 on the announcement of additional training majors at the university level;
The University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU-HCM is presiding over the task of the Project on training international-level human resources in the field of Urban Management for the period 2020-2035 and is responsible for implementing pilot training from the 2024-2025 school year. In order to properly implement the tasks assigned by the Project Steering Committee, the Faculty of Urban Studies has developed a training plan for the Urban Management major under the Urban Studies major applied from the 2022 course, specifically as follows:

Thus, the Urban Studies undergraduate training program from the 2022 course includes 2 majors: Urban Management and Urban Studies. After completing the second year, Urban Studies students will register to choose a major in Urban Studies or Urban Management. The training program in Urban Studies and Urban Management continues to be researched and improved to continuously improve the quality of training, meeting practical needs in the current context.
