The graduation internship for third-year students of the Faculty of Urban Studies has the topic "Transformation of small and medium-sized coastal cities due to the impact of climate change and urbanization in Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province", with the goal of Theory always goes hand in hand with practice. A research trip combined with learning and experience in a real area is the top goal of the graduation internship.
The first orientation took place on April 15, 2024. Lecturers in the department met with DTH14 students to introduce the internship program and research topic, research area and required content of the internship to the students, and the students planned, divided into groups and selected topics. Vietnam's cities always have different development histories and forms. Learning about the development of an urban area for students of Urban Studies in particular and related majors such as: Planning, architecture, economics, environment... in general is inevitable. Urban areas always operate and develop in that process, transformation takes place every day and every hour to move towards sustainable development in the future and the young generation is the one who approaches and goes along with the transformation of the urban area. In the second and third student meetings, students will listen and discuss with experts about the applications of making video reports for the report, which is also a new criterion and new method applied. In addition, students also briefly report on the topic to the lecturer and receive further advice from the lecturers in the group and the instructor.

Starting a journey to explore Nha Trang City from June 10 to June 16, 2024. This year, with the criteria of urban transformation in 6 areas from: Economy; planning; infrastructure, transportation; social services; life and especially vulnerable groups in society in Nha Trang city. Nha Trang City is the center of Khanh Hoa province, when mentioning Nha Trang, everyone knows a coastal city and multi-service tourism development. A tourist destination with beautiful natural landscapes, high-class accommodation facilities, diverse entertainment services, friendly people and a city with a long-standing cultural identity. Facing the pressure on urban development towards sustainability and adaptation to climate change. Nha Trang has been constantly transforming over time to become a first-class urban area, a tourist city, a coastal city and a modern urban image. Research on the transformation of Nha Trang city is an attractive and highly academic topic for students of the faculty. New learning method exercises are applied such as field surveys, work, experiencing the lives of local people, making a report to convey the topics that students choose in a scientific way.

The internship results, reported on June 15, 2024, student groups will report research results and video reportage content on each topic that each group researched. Accompanying and partially sponsoring the field research trip with the Faculty students is the Fes (Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung) organization from Germany, one of the international non-profit organizations that is always interested in climate change in cities. The international exchange is also a good opportunity for young researchers of the Faculty of Urban Studies to have the opportunity to express themselves on the path of research and academics to produce useful products for the City. The experts of the organization always accompany and share knowledge with students throughout the process in Nha Trang city. At the same time, Fes will also post videos with good results and the same research direction on the organization's information page and will reserve 5 spots for excellent students in the learning process from the first year to now to participate in the International Youth Summit 2024 held in Da Nang City.

The graduation internship ended successfully. The students learned and experienced a lot of useful knowledge about theory and practice. From there, they opened up a lot of specialized knowledge to be applied in their future work after graduation.
