On September 23, 2024, at the Thu Duc campus of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, a cultural and academic exchange took place, which was of great significance in introducing the training and academic programs declared by the developer. This event was not only to introduce the majors but also to facilitate international students from Keris Mas College, National University of Malaysia (UKM), to visit, learn and directly interact with students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City.
The exchange was attended by Professor Dr. Hamidun Bin Bunawan and Dr. See Too Kay Leng, representatives from UKM, who shared in-depth information about the school and its outstanding academic activities. On the side of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, the congratulatory program was attended by prestigious students from the Faculty of Urban Studies, Dr. Vo Thanh Tuyen, MSc. Hoang Bao Ngoc and MSc. Nguyen Quang Huy. The teachers introduced unique and valuable information about Ho Chi Minh City National University, creating a profound technical learning atmosphere and a strong connection between the two educational and cultural systems.
The archival program was successful, bringing rich experiences to students from both countries. Not only stopping at organizing archival activities, the program also helped Vietnamese students have the opportunity to approach and learn more about Batik art, a beautiful cultural specialty of Malaysia. Through that, students not only learned about the process of creating unique Batik fabrics but also understood more about the cultural values and long-standing traditions of this country. In return, Malaysian students also had the opportunity to explore the conical hat, a familiar cultural symbol of Vietnam, bearing the historical and spiritual imprint of the Vietnamese people over many centuries. These activities have attracted the enthusiastic participation of many students from both countries.
In addition to the art and cultural archives, the program also opens up a great opportunity for students from Keris Mas College, National University of Malaysia, and students from the Faculty of Urban Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, to cooperate, exchange and learn about international issues. The program not only helps students expand their cultural and academic knowledge but also encourages the development of global thinking, creating a foundation for future cooperation and connection. This is truly an important opportunity for students from the two home countries to better understand each other, while also contributing to fostering international relations between Vietnam and Malaysia.
