Within the framework of the INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE organized by the Faculty of Psychology, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU-HCM, on November 22, 2024, the International Workshop was successfully organized, focusing on theories and clinical cases related to trauma and post-traumatic growth. The international training program attracted hundreds of researchers, experts, and graduate students to attend and discuss enthusiastically.
Foreign professors and experts presented the latest research. Prof. Jörn von Wietersheim (Ulm University) introduced trauma therapy techniques, presented different techniques to treat patients with trauma-related disorders, and discussed similarities and differences. Psychological art therapist Alexandra Danner Weinberger: The characteristics of art therapy in the treatment of trauma-related disorders, highlighting the importance of the tendency to keep safe (defense mechanisms) to maintain compensation for trauma, on the one hand, and the indispensable steps to actively express feelings such as grief, pain, hurt, fear, shame and guilt on the other. Prof. Harald Guendel presents useful strategies and tools to help promote organizational resilience in the workplace, focusing on all areas of the workplace. Strategies to support organizational resilience in times of “multiple crises” in general and in particular those that have proven effective during the Covid pandemic crisis are presented and discussed.

This international training program has the participation of a team of reporters who are lecturers and heads of departments of the Faculty of Psychology such as Dr. Ngo Xuan Diep (Former Dean and currently Head of the Department of Religious Psychology), Dr. Nguyen Thi Thanh Tu (Deputy Dean, Head of the Department of Clinical Psychology), Dr. Nguyen Thi Dieu Anh (Lecturer), Dr. Pham Kim Anh (Lecturer, Head of the Department of Organizational and Personnel Psychology) collaborated with foreign professors and experts to share and present clinical cases on adult trauma and art therapy practice, clinical cases of childhood trauma, CBT practice and art therapy, and trauma and post-traumatic recovery related to leadership capacity, work motivation, and organizational crisis - modern applied psychology topics of great interest in the world.
