On April 23, USSH, VNU-HCM, signed an MoU and MoA with Gyeongsang National University, South Korea. The agreements aim to foster comprehensive and long-term cooperation between the two institutions in various fields, including student and faculty exchanges, joint academic programs, collaborative research, and cultural exchange.
At the signing ceremony, the delegation from Gyeongsang National University, South Korea, included Prof. Dr. Kweon Jin Hwe, President; Dr. Oh Jae Sin, Vice President for International Affairs; Mr. Kim Hoe Dong, Team Leader for International Affairs; and Ms. Kim So Hee, International Affairs Officer. On behalf of USSH, VNU-HCM, there was Prof. Dr. Ngo Thi Phuong Lan, President; representatives from the Office of External Relations and Research Affairs, the Office of Communications and Event Management, the Office of Training Management, the Student Affairs Office, and the Faculty of Korean Studies.
In her remarks at the signing ceremony, Prof. Dr. Ngo Thi Phuong Lan highlighted that this collaboration would mark a pivotal milestone in the development of both institutions and provide students with opportunities to expand their knowledge of culture, society, and the cooperative relations between Vietnam and South Korea.

In his response, Prof. Dr. Kweon Jin Hwe expressed his hope that the newly signed agreements would lay the foundation for effective collaboration, enhance the quality of research and teaching, and contribute to improving the global rankings of universities—particularly those in Asia.

The agreements between USSH and Gyeongsang National University set forth several key areas of prospective cooperation, including student and faculty exchanges, joint scientific research, co-hosting of cultural events, the expansion of scholarship programs, enhanced support for international students, and interdisciplinary innovation among the social sciences, humanities, and the engineering sciences.
