USSH Job Fair 2025: Connection – Opportunity – Growth

On May 9, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (USSH VNUHCM), successfully hosted the USSH Job Fair 2025 at its Thu Duc campus.

This key event was part of the USSH Career Season — a week-long program designed to connect students with employers, help them explore labor market trends, and expand job opportunities aligned with their competencies and personal aspirations.

The fair welcomed more than 40 companies, agencies, and partners across various sectors such as education, tourism, media, human resources, technology, finance and banking, healthcare, and wellness. Over 2,000 students and guests attended the event, engaging in activities such as on-site job interviews, expert talks, and interactive sessions with businesses.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Lê Hoàng Dũng, Vice President of the University, emphasized the importance of adaptability, creativity, and dynamism for students in a constantly evolving labor market.

“The University is committed to its core values of Creativity – Leadership – Responsibility, and follows an educational philosophy of Holistic – Liberal – Multicultural learning. With a student-centered approach, we focus on strengthening ties with businesses to enhance the quality of training and empower students in real-world environments,” he stated.

Dr. Dũng also extended heartfelt thanks to all companies, organizations, recruiters, sponsors, and media partners for their invaluable support. He underscored that this collaboration plays a vital role in improving the University’s training quality and promoting sustainable development.

During the fair, company representatives offered meaningful insights to help students navigate their career paths in an increasingly competitive job market. Recruiters highlighted the importance of developing soft skills, gaining practical experience, and cultivating adaptability for professional settings.

In today’s fast-changing world, social sciences and humanities disciplines are also undergoing major transformations, demanding students to be ever more agile and open to lifelong learning. According to employers, every student has the potential to become a global citizen if equipped with solid academic knowledge, practical skills, and confidence in global integration.

Additionally, to make a lasting impression on recruiters, students are advised to prepare well-structured and personalized job application materials that reflect their passion and commitment. A compelling and authentic cover letter, in particular, can be a key to standing out in the hiring process.

One of the highlights of USSH Job Fair 2025 was the CVision competition, which drew enthusiastic and professional participation from students. Many submitted their résumés and took part in live interviews at the event. The top 10 outstanding candidates were honored and awarded for their performance, demonstrating strong capabilities and thorough preparation. The competition not only offered real job opportunities but also helped participants hone their application skills and gain confidence for their career journeys.
