This is an indispensable tool for anyone who wants to master data flexibly and in-depth. In order to provide knowledge and skills for lecturers, students, researchers in Psychology and related fields on the use of R software in statistics in Psychology, the Department of Psychology organizes a short-term course called "Using R software - Statistics in Psychology" with the participation of Dr. Jyun-Hong Chen. After attending the course, students can understand the basics of R programming, know how to manipulate and convert psychological research data as well as perform descriptive statistics and visualization. In addition, students can also conduct inferential statistical tests as well as explain and report statistical results.
Course details are as follows:
- Lecturer: Dr. Jyun-Hong Chen - Associate Professor, Department of Psychology, National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan. With extensive professional experience and active contributions in teaching, research and international academic sharing in the fields related to psychology, statistics, educational measurement and educational technology, Dr. Jyun-Hong Chen will be the lecturer accompanying the students in the upcoming course. He is currently an Associate Professor, Department of Psychology, National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan.
- Time: morning, from 8:00 to 11:30 on the following days: From July 2, 2025 to July 4, 2025; From July 7, 2025 to July 8, 2025. Total: 5 sessions (17.5 hours of study).
- Training method: Directly at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU-HCM, Campus 10-12 Dinh Tien Hoang, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1, HCMC.
- Participants: Students, lecturers, researchers in Psychology or other social sciences. Expected number: 40 people. Students will be awarded a certificate after completing the training course.
