Vietnam TE-1 Paints Chemical Co., Ltd. Scholarship Accompanies USSH Students on Their Academic Journey
On the morning of July 28, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (USSH-V NUHCM) held a scholarship awarding ceremony sponsored by Vietnam TE-1 Paints Chemical Co., Ltd. for students who have overcome difficulties for their studies. The event aimed to recognize and encourage the spirit of resilience, academic excellence, and to inspire students to continue striving forward.
Attending the Ceremony, on behalf of the USSH-VNUHCM were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luu Van Quyet, Vice President; Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Khanh, Deputy Head of the Office of Student Affairs cum Director of the Student Support and Entrepreneurship Center; and Dr. Hoang Thi Trang, Deputy Head of the Office of External Relations and Research Affairs. From Vietnam TE-1 Paints Chemical Co., Ltd., attendees included Ms. Chen Yi Ting, Chief Financial Officer and investor representative; Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy, Deputy General Director; Ms. Vu Thi Mai Huong, Chief Accountant; along with the students receiving scholarships.

Speaking at the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luu Van Quyet emphasized that supporting students has always been a central philosophy of USSH’s education mission. To ensure students can fully pursue their studies, the University consistently strives to create the best possible conditions. He noted that the companionship of businesses and social organizations is a vital factor in realizing this philosophy. On behalf of USSH, he expressed gratitude: “I would like to extend my deepest thanks to you for your care and generosity toward our students. Perhaps in a few years, these students will return to give back and pass on these values to the next generation.”

On behalf of the sponsor, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy, Deputy General Director of Vietnam TE-1 Paints Chemical Co., Ltd., stated that since 2006, the company has clearly defined its corporate social responsibility, particularly in promoting education and talent development. This year, with the support of Fuji Charity Association, Vietnam TE-1 Paints Chemical Co., Ltd. was honored to award scholarships to students in need. She expressed her hopes to the students: “We believe this support will ease some of your burden and give you greater motivation to move forward. And perhaps, in the future, once you have achieved your dreams, you will return to accompany the next generation of students.”

Sharing her experience, scholarship recipient Truong Ngoc Anh, a student of the Faculty of Cultural Studies, said that thanks to the support of her teachers and the scholarship fund, she has been able to focus on her studies, participate in extracurricular activities, and join student clubs. With a spirit of giving back, she expressed: “I hope that in the future, when we are in a better position, we can support other students who are in need, just like us today.”
