In her remarks, Dr. Lê Thị Mai Liên – Head of the Faculty of Psychology, emphasized the essential importance of paying attention to mental health in today’s world, as well as the significance of this year’s theme launched by the World Health Organization (WHO): “Mental health in humanitarian emergencies.” This theme reminds us to focus on the urgent need to support the mental health and psychosocial well-being of those affected by humanitarian crises such as natural disasters, conflicts, and epidemics. Supporting mental health in these situations not only saves lives but also gives people the strength to cope, the space to heal, recover, and rebuild – both as individuals and as communities.
