Faculty of Psychology welcomed and worked with the Delegation from the Institute of Health Strategy and Policy.

On the morning of December 18, 2025, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, held a working session with the delegation from the Health Strategy and Policy Institute.

Following the directive of the Ministry of Health leadership regarding the study and proposal for developing professional standards for clinical psychology positions in public healthcare facilities and social protection institutions, the Health Strategy and Policy Institute, in collaboration with the Department of Personnel Organization – Ministry of Health, has carried out activities to assess the demand for clinical psychology professionals, and to propose duties, standards, and professional ranking for clinical psychology positions.

The meeting was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lê Hoàng Dũng, Vice President of the University; M.A. Trần Nam, Head of the Student Affairs Office; Dr. Lê Thị Mai Liên, Dean of the Faculty of Psychology; along with faculty members, graduate students, and undergraduate students of the Faculty of Psychology.

From the Health Strategy and Policy Institute’s working delegation, in-depth discussions were conducted, and practical situations as well as proposals from faculty members, graduate students, and undergraduate students of the Faculty of Psychology were acknowledged regarding the professional titles of bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral-level psychology graduates working in public healthcare institutions, aiming to ensure recruitment needs are met and opportunities for employment are secured.

The working session further emphasized the growing importance of mental health among the Vietnamese population, with particular focus on the roles and responsibilities of clinical psychology trainees at different professional levels—bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral—in healthcare facilities and within the labor market.
